Brief BiographyLeonid Levin works in the field of mathematical probability and the theory of computation, particularly in regard to randomness and complexity in computing. He is one of the founders of Kolmogorov Complexity Theory. Since 1980 he has been at Boston University, College of Arts and Sciences where he is a Professor in the Computer Science Department. Professor Levin gave two seminars at the Computer Learning Research Centre during 1998, and delivered the talk for the 2004 Kolmogorov Lecture. |
